AMA Racing Motocross Assistant Manager
Job Located in our Pickerington, Ohio AMA Headquarters
The candidate selected to be the AMA Racing Motocross Assistant Manager for the AMA will serve as front line AMA representative to our
Motocross membership. They will also assist the motocross manager by enforcing AMA Racing rules, regulations and sanctioning procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:
Required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Knowledge and understanding of the AMA rulebook
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively; orally & written
- Ability to travel
Preferred
- Knowledge of AMA protest and appeals procedures
- Knowledge of motorcycle mechanics
Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma
- Two years relevant work experience in amateur motocross type events
- Customer service experience
Preferred
- Associate Degree or equivalent
- Work experience as an event referee

Public Lands Manager
American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)
Founded in 1924, the AMA has an unparalleled history of, protecting and promoting the interests of the world's largest and most dedicated group of motorcycle enthusiasts.
The candidate selected to be Public Lands Manager for the AMA will monitor, evaluate and respond accordingly to public lands issues, including regulation, legislation and notices for public comment generated by public land agencies and Congress.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel and represent the association in various public settings, build partnerships and assist in policy development.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Political Science, Journalism, Natural Resources, or related field
- 3-5 years experience working in a government agency
- Demonstrated experience in public parks, recreation, tourism and/or public lands management, including managerial leadership/role, and public policy development
- Specific knowledge of motorcycling issues a plus
