AMA Joe Christian Award

The Joe Christian Award recognizes outstanding freelance writing in the pages of American Motorcyclist magazine.

The award is named for a man who was instrumental in broadening the AMA’s focus in the 1970s to include more road-riding activities. It is presented annually to the writer of the best freelance touring feature printed in American Motorcyclist. Winners receive a $500 prize, plus a one-year extension of their AMA membership.
