Bryan Smith joins Werner Springsteen Racing KawasakiPosted January 12, 2010

Bill Werner was a legendary racing mechanic for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company who tuned motorcycles that carried Gary Scott, Jay Springsteen and Scott Parker to a total of 130 National Championship Wins and 13 AMA Grand National Championships. Jay Springsteen is considered one of the most talented AMA Grand National flat-track racers of all time with 40 National Wins and 3 AMA Grand National Titles. Bryan Smith, formerly of the Screaming Eagle Harley team, has agreed to race Kawasakis in the 2010 Grand National Flat Track circuit in both the Expert Singles and Expert Twins classes. Smith will race on the Werner Springsteen Racing Kawasaki team, alongside Chaz Springsteen, nephew of racing legend Jay Springsteen. Springsteen will compete in the Pro Singles class. Smith will ride the Kawasaki Ninja 650 twin in the Grand National Expert Twins Class and the Kawasaki KX 450 in the Grand National Expert Singles Class. Chas Springsteen will ride a KX 450 in the Pro Singles class. Jay Springsteen will serve as a team coach and mentor, while legendary tuner Bill Werner will prepare the equipment.
