Harley-Davidson and striking union reach tentative settlement

Unionized employees at Harley-Davidson's York, Pennsylvania assembly plant have approved a contract agreement that will allow production of Big Twin motorcycles to resume almost immediately.

The York plant was idle since the company shuttered the factory on February 1 in anticipation of a strike. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 175 began picketing when its contract expired at 12:01 a.m. February 3.
