Harley-Davidson and striking union reach tentative settlementHarley-Davidson and the union representing workers at its York, Pennsylvania assembly plant have reached a tentative agreement that could end a strike. The York plant, which produces Harley's Big Twin models, has been idle since the company shuttered the factory on February 1 in anticipation of a strike. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 175 began picketing when its contract expired at 12:01 a.m. February 3. Details of the tentative agreement have not yet been revealed. Union members are expected to hear details and vote on the contract proposal Thursday, February 22.
