AMA Eastern Hare Scrambles Championship Series race reports

Round 1

Jason Raines grabbed the hole shot with Justin Williamson and Kailub Russell in tow. After the first 6 mile lap, Williamson came through with a slim lead over Raines on the second lap. Russell had the point with 250A rider Corery Buttrick moving up through the pack to take the lead with corrected time. As they worked lapped traffic, Raines came back with Buttrick in tow. Buttrick then took the outright lead with Raines close. Russell sucked water at a creek crossing and had to pack it in. Williamson mounted a charge and took the lead for good and pulled a 2 minute lead at the checkers with Raines 2nd and Buttrick in 3rd.
