Brian Stokes wins the prestigious AMA Road Racing Horizon Award

Horizon Award at the AMA Road Race Grand Championships that ended Thursday
at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

ground at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

The AMA Horizon
Award was established in 1997 to give more recognition to riders who are
trying to make the transition from the amateur ranks to the world of
professional racing.

entries for 2003 AMA Road Racing Grand Championships
Nearly 500 pre-entries have been
received at AMA Sports from aspiring racers across the country—a record
since the event moved to midweek between AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days and
the AMA Chevy Trucks Superbike weekend.
