2003 ISDE: Final Results

U.S. Trophy Team finishes seventh; GNCC Club Team holds on to second

The 78th running of the International Six Days Enduro ended Saturday in Fortaleza, Brazil. Finland, who led all six days of the event, captured the coveted World Trophy, while the French team won the Junior Trophy. Belgian motocross superstar Stefan Everts won top honors in individual competition in his first-ever international enduro.

The U.S. Trophy Team of Rodney Smith, Barry Hawk, Mike Lafferty, Mike Kiedrowski, Jason Raines and Ty Davis achieved a seventh-place finish after steadily working their way up from a disappointing first day finish of 12th. The U.S. Junior Trophy Team of Kurt Caselli, Wally Palmer, David Pearson and Russell Bobbitt finished ninth.

The U.S. GNCC club of Doug Blackwell, Randy Hawkins and Robbie Jenks finished a strong second in club competition, while the Skunkwrx.net team of Rod Kreiss, Bryce Olson and Rob Zimmerman finished sixth.

U.S. riders Kurt Caselli, Ty Davis, Mike Kiedrowski, Jason Raines,  David Pearson, Randy Hawkins and Mike Lafferty received gold medals for their individual finishes.

The 2004 ISDE will be held September 13-19 in Poland.
