It was a long night on the
TT track at the AMA Progressive Insurance Dirt Track Grand Championships
Friday, but three racers managed to maintain a perfect score in one
class each, while two racers scored two individual wins apiece.

The AMA Progressive Insurance
Dirt Track Grand Championships drew to an end for half its entrants
after TT competition Friday, with six riders earning the overall
points battles that makes them Grand Champions — two of them earning
double championships.
Three down, one to go for
youth racers
With three of four events in the books Thursday for the
youth riders of the AMA Progressive Insurance Dirt Track Grand
Championships, the points battles firmed up, three riders held onto
perfect scores in one class each, and spectators were treated to a
show of sportsmanship among competitors separated by a single point
going into the final round.
Keeping the streak going
Big bikes took to the short-track
under the lights at the Grand Championships Wednesday, and four riders
ended the evening by keeping a perfect score intact — winning both of
the first two rounds in their classes.

from Owensboro, Kentucky
It was short-track time at the
Grand Championships Wednesday, as the small bikes raced at one of the
nicest facilities in the country and one family went home with a trio
of National titles.
The
big bikes roll
Tuesday was the day for the big bikes to shine at the AMA
Progressive Insurance Dirt Track Grand Championships, and the fight
began for the event's top honor with one contender winning two
National titles on the half-mile.

The AMA Progressive Insurance
Dirt Track Grand Championships launched into their first day Monday,
with the under-125cc bikes taking the track on a day that was capped
by a Pro Sport race where last year's Dirt Track Horizon award winner
nabbed an easy win.
